Frequently asked questions
Why does iOS ask me to allow paste?
iOS asks before any app reads the clipboard. Choose Allow Paste so Pastin can save what you copied. You can change this in iPhone Settings under Pastin, Paste from Other Apps.
Does Pastin save in the background?
No. iOS only lets Pastin read the clipboard while it is open. Open the app after copying, or use the share extension from other apps.
Does Pastin save my passwords?
Items that password managers mark as concealed or temporary are skipped and not saved.
How do I back up my history?
Use the export and backup options in Settings to save a JSON, CSV or text file. Restore a JSON backup on your new iPhone, since there is no iCloud sync.
How do I restore my subscription on a new or reset iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open the app's Settings screen or the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription comes back. Your app data does not, unless you restore a backup.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose this app. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
How do I contact support?
Email us at [email protected]. Include your iPhone model and iOS version if you are reporting a problem.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.
