What we receive

What stays on your device

  • Your contracts, clauses, signatures and attachments are stored on this device.
  • Parties you save, including names, addresses, ID or tax numbers and contact details, are stored on this device.
  • Your company profile and logo are stored on this device.
  • Exported PDF and DOCX files are created on this device before you share them.

Permissions the app may ask for

  • Face ID: Asked when you turn on the optional app lock.
  • Notifications: Asked when you turn on reminders for drafts and deadlines, which are scheduled on the device.

Every permission is optional and can be changed later in the iPhone Settings app. Features that need a permission you decline simply stay unavailable.

Data that leaves your device

The app talks to the following services. Each receives only what is listed, and only for the purpose shown.

  • RevenueCat (subscription management): Only when you view plans, buy, restore or check a subscription: an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase status. Your documents are never sent. Their privacy policy.

Your keys and passwords

If you export a password-protected PDF, the password is used on the device to encrypt that file and is not stored.

Sensitive information

Contracts can contain personal data of other people, such as names, addresses and ID numbers. It stays only on this device unless you share a document, and you can protect the app with Face ID.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID, card or payment details. The app checks your subscription status through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID and your purchase status, not your identity.

Ads, tracking and analytics

No ads, no analytics, no tracking across apps, and we never sell your data.

Children

Klauz Contracts & Signing is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Keeping and deleting your data

Delete documents and parties in the app. You can export a full backup file in Settings first. Deleting the app removes all its local data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or KVKK), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Because the app keeps your records on your own device, you can do most of this directly in the app or by deleting it. For anything else, or for data held by a service listed above, email [email protected] and we will help within 30 days.
